I was so excited to wear my pink running shoes.
They felt good when I was walking during the fitting, I wondered how they would feel on my feet when I’m actually running on hard pavement.

Kernan and I started our warm up by walking. So far, so good.
After a few meters, we jogged slow. My shoes felt light and soft. My old rubber shoes were not even close, I was sure I won’t ever use them again for running.
I felt like a huge weight was taken off my feet.
I also noticed how my shoes did cushion the impact of every stride on my legs and knees.
When I started to run, my feet were in heaven. My strides were almost effortless. Remember that Greek god Hermes? I felt like I had wings on my feet.
I did 8.8k pain free. I could tell, my legs and feet were so happy.

I still did walking intervals during my run and I stretched a lot after. But I hardly felt any ache or strain. Though my old shin splints still stung when I massaged them, I noticed how my legs felt tired but there was no pain in my knee.
I would have wanted to run more but due to my shin splints, I’m still minding my limits.
What a difference a good running shoe makes. Now I get it.
I love my shoes.
But I love the giver more.

More happy and pain free running days to come!

Hi Jayme! Wow, you did an 8.8k, awesome. Feels so much good to run on longer distances right? And with your new pinkie shoes, you’ll fall in love with running even more
Hey MinnieRunner, when it’s just practice, it feels good to go “long distance” because I can stop, take a hydration break and walk when I want to sans the pressure that races usually bring.
You’re right, my new running shoes do help make running more enjoyable because I can run easy. Hopefully, with more training, I can race long distance by the end of the year.

Thanks RunningAtom!
It sure is pretty and I love it. It loves my feet and my knees too.
